Macerates are a group of plant-based oils. They are primarily created through the maceration of plants in base oil, which is where they get their name from. They have recently gained popularity mainly as an ingredient in many cosmetics und therapeutic preparations.

Macerates are created using two methods: hot and cold maceration. A macerate can be made from virtually any plant and any of its parts. Obtaining a macerate is a process that requires time and patience.

Amla macerate

Banana macerate

Banana macerate in the form of an oil is a 100% natural product. It is obtained by the maceration of banana fruit in cold-pressed base oil at a 1: 1 ratio. Its recommended concentration in cosmetics is 95%.

Banana macerate is characterized by a delicate scent and yellow color.

Arnica macerate

This macerate is known for its strong regenerating and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, it relaxes the muscles and reduces swelling and bruises.

Barley macerate

Camellia macerate

Camellia macerate is obtained by macerating a part of the Camellia japonica plant in oil. It is also sometimes called an ornamental camellia. Tsubaki oil is obtained from the same plant. Macerate, just like oil, contains a large amount of olein oil, thanks to which it is easily absorbed, without leaving a greasy layer on the skin.

Calendula (marigold) macerate

Calendula macerate contains carotene and triterpenoid saponins, which are responsible for macerate’s anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, and wound-healing properties. The macerate is obtained from the plant Calendula officinalis and high-quality vegetable oils.

Carrot macerate
